My solo exhibition WILD is currently on view at the Alberta Society of Artists' main gallery in Calgary, running through August 31, 2024. Featuring 24 paintings and 12 sculptures, this ambitious exhibition is one of the largest I’ve presented—and a deeply meaningful milestone in my professional journey. The opening reception was held just a few days ago, on Saturday, July 20, and included an artist talk where I had the opportunity to share the stories, processes, and ideas behind the work.

WILD is a significant honour for me, chosen for a solo exhibition at ASA’s main gallery as part of their annual programming. To be one of the few artists featured this year in their larger, flagship exhibition space is both affirming and humbling—a proud moment in my continued artistic journey.

The collection invites reflection on our emotional connection to nature and the wild beings we share this planet with. The paintings express my lifelong empathy and fascination with animals, while the sculptures—many inspired by botanical forms such as seed pods—explore themes of growth, transformation, and resilience. My mixed media and ceramic processes mirror these ideas, unfolding layer by layer in organic and intuitive ways.

This exhibition marks a proud chapter in my art career, as a meaningful progression built on dedication, inquiry, and a deep love for the living world. The Alberta Society of Artists gallery is located at 222-1235 26 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB. You can explore the full exhibition and artworks online here →
