Last Wednesday, we celebrated Leo’s 12th birthday—my sweet dog, my loyal studio companion, and the heart that’s been quietly beside me through every moment of creative transformation.

Leo has been with me for all of it: the early sketches, the long hours in the studio, the triumphs, and the challenges. He’s curled up at my feet during deadlines, wandered through exhibitions with pride, and watched me bring countless artworks to life. His quiet presence brings me comfort and calm, even on the hardest days—and his joy reminds me why I create in the first place.

Beyond the studio, Leo has been my adventure buddy—hiking in the mountains, exploring trails, and sharing in the simple, joyful moments that make life rich. He’s been there for the fresh air, the muddy paws, the sunshine, and the snow, always reminding me to pause, play, and breathe it all in.

As I reflect on everything we’ve shared over the past 12 years, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. Leo isn’t just part of my life—he’s woven into the rhythm of my practice, part of the creative process in ways I never imagined a dog could be. I’m so thankful for this beautiful soul who’s walked every step of this journey with me.

Happy birthday, Leo. Here’s to more walks, more naps in the studio, more art made with you by my side—and making new memories every step of the way. 💛
