I'm pleased to share that my newest mixed media work, Unfolding, is now on view in PROCESS, a juried exhibition held on the third floor of cSPACE Marda Loop from March 17 to 31, 2025. Presented by the ARTS Society in collaboration with the Heritage Weavers, the show invites viewers to explore the theme of process—how ideas emerge, evolve, and ultimately take form.

I created Unfolding specifically for this exhibition. The piece offers a glimpse into my own creative process—how inspiration drawn from nature gradually transforms into sculpture through observation, exploration, and material dialogue. Inspired by agapanthus buds pressing against their bracts, I was moved by the moment of tension between containment and release, a visual metaphor for fragility, possibility, and growth.

The work began with a series of gestural studies layered in pencil, watercolor, and acrylic—each one guiding the evolution of the final form. Through these sketches, I was able to uncover the soul of the piece and refine the surface textures that bring it to life. With Unfolding, I invite viewers into this journey—to witness how inspiration takes root, grows, and finds its shape through time and process.

The opening reception will take place on Wednesday, March 20 from 5 to 8 PM, and all are welcome to attend. The exhibition remains open through March 31, 2025.
