I took part in the 2025 Rotary Art Gala, a two-day charity art event hosted by the Rotary Clubs of Okotoks and High River in support of the Foothills Country Hospice expansion.

Held at the Viking Rentals Centre in Okotoks on Friday, September 19 and Saturday, September 20, the gala brought together regional artists and community members in a thoughtfully organized and welcoming setting. I exhibited a selection of my paintings alongside other juried artists, and it was a meaningful experience to be part of a show where art directly supported such an important charitable cause.

More than an art event, the gala felt like a true gathering of community, generosity, and creative exchange. Visitors moved through the space with ease, enjoying the artwork, conversations, and atmosphere, with hors d’oeuvres and a relaxed setting that encouraged connection.

With 50% of all artwork sales donated to the Hospice, the impact of the event extended far beyond the gallery walls. I’m grateful to the organizers, volunteers, and everyone who attended for contributing to such a successful and purposeful charity event.
