Design Process


The full spectrum of my creative services, and the design process, are customized to your specific requirements to ensure a perfect fit for your project. My ultimate goal is for you to be completely happy with the outcome of the project, and continue to acquire my creative services in the future.


Tell me a little bit about what you have in mind, and let me know how I can reach you. 


I will follow up with you and discuss the best solutions for your creative needs. I will ask you a few questions to better understand what you are hoping to achieve, get a feel for your project, your parameters, goals, objectives and limitations. I will give you an estimate after the consultation.


If you decide to move forward and hire me for your project, I will send you a customized design brief for fill out and send back to me.


I will draw up a project proposal outlining everything we discussed in our consultation and your design brief, along with a timeframe and pricing tailored to your specific project.

Please note: If you decide to make adjustments to your initial inquiry after receiving the proposal, the revised proposal might have a different timeframe and pricing than the original.


Upon your approval of the proposal, a 50% deposit and your billing information is required to get started 1. Once your deposit is received, your project will get started immediately.


It usually takes 2-3 rounds of design-feedback-revise 2 to get the wow factor that your project deserves - some projects may require a few extra rounds. Unless discussed otherwise, the first round of design is usually made up of a few ideas, sketches or concepts developed through studying your design brief and project requirements, doing research and brainstorm ideas, and basically spending a considerable amount of time obsessing over your project. We collaborate and work together through the next rounds as I refine and revise those initial designs based on your feedback, and move the project towards the desired outcome.


I’ll put together the final set of proofs for you to carefully review before preparing the final outcome and wrapping up the project.


Once I receive your final approval, I will create the required deliverables. Your final invoice will be sent and your payment is required within 10 days. Once your payment is received, I will send you the deliverables 3.


When you receive the deliverables and your project is finished, I will continue to be a resource to you and your business. Rates of art and design services by Nacim Ruintan-Tehrani do not include any third party services including, but not limited to, printing costs, hosting costs, stock photography, shipping, storage, goods or material purchased for the completion of the project.


Nacim Ruintan-Tehrani does not use images or design elements that you do not own the rights to. If stock photography or other design elements need to be purchased in order to complete a design project, the client will be billed for the goods purchased. Nacim Ruintan-Tehrani strives to maintain the highest ethical standards and will not knowingly infringe on anyone's copyright. By retaining the services offered by Nacim Ruintan-Tehrani for the scope of work agreed upon, you acknowledge acceptance of these terms and conditions.

The design process outlined in this page is for information only, and might vary depending on the scope, nature, and requirements of a project.

1 The contract, or the letter of agreement, between Nacim Ruintan-Tehrani and the client will consist of the quotation with its specifications and the applicable terms and conditions. Signature of both parties on the contract will constitute commencement of the contract, and the work specified is required to be carried out. By signing the contact, or the letter of agreement, the client agrees they have read, understood, and are considered legally bonded to the applicable terms and conditions.

2 When designing graphics or designing for print, Nacim Ruintan-Tehrani will provide a draft of the design by submitting it electronically to the client, which the client may view and comment upon the progress. For web design or stand alone digital media, Nacim Ruintan-Tehrani will provide a draft of the design on its own server during development so that the client may view and comment upon the progress.

3 When the design meets the specifications set out in the quotation with its requirements, upon the client’s approval of the final proof, Nacim Ruintan-Tehrani will send the final invoice to the client and the payment is required within 10 days.

On receipt of final payment, in the case of graphic design or design for print, Nacim Ruintan-Tehrani will provide either the client, or the client's specified supplier, the finalized artwork in the format that has been agreed upon. On receipt of final payment, in the case of web design, Nacim Ruintan-Tehrani will provide all the files to the client to upload, or publish the website on the client's server for an additional cost (unless discussed otherwise). In case of other formats of art and design services, on receipt of final payment, Nacim Ruintan-Tehrani will provide the finalized artwork in the format that has been agreed upon.
